Craig Banikowski launched his career in the travel industry nearly 30 years ago, having been hired and furloughed (at the same time) by TWA, and then moving into travel agency management with Ambassador Travel there after. Craig transitioned to corporate travel in 1996 as the travel manager for a Corporate Travel Department at Nxtrend Technology in Colorado Springs, CO.   

Craig joined the Hilton Worldwide in 2006, where he is currently tasked with the development and implementation a global travel program, to include traditional, on-line, automated expense reporting, and other facets of a best-in-class managed program that fits the needs and culture of one of the world’s largest hotel companies. He is part of the Hilton Supply Management group, and along with his team handles all travel related procurement functions. 

Craig is active in the business travel community, having served as the inaugural Chair of GBTA’s Global Risk Management Committee (2006-2007). He also Chaired GBTA’s Ground Transportation Task Force (2003) to bring to light the critical aspects of chauffeured  transportation.   

Craig has served serve as President of three local GBTA Chapters – Los Angeles BTA (2009), Rocky Mountain BTA (2004-05), and the Southern Colorado BTA (1998), and a member of the North Carolina Business Travel Association.   

Craig earned his Certified Corporate Travel Manager (CCTE) designation from GBTA and Cornell University (1998), his Certified Purchasing Manager designation (C.P.M.) (2000), and his Certified Meeting Manager designation (CMM) (2000) from Meeting Professionals International. He has also completed coursework for his MBA, specializing in International Business from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. He is currently working on his PMP with Villanova University.
